The Good Cashmere Standard by AbTF (Aid by Trade Foundation):

The Good Cashmere Standard was developed in 2019 with the aim of establishing a benchmark standard for sustainable cashmere. The standard encompasses three main principles - to support cashmere farmers and provide income security, to protect the natural environment and to promote animal welfare in the production of cashmere. The Good Cashmere Standard also defines social criteria for farms, including governing issues such as the health and safety of children and workers, gender equality and ensuring correct payment is made.

Bluesign Certification:

Bluesign is an industry recognised standard for more sustainable textiles. Partnering with brands, manufacturers and chemical suppliers, Bluesign ensures safer workplaces and textile products that have less of an impact on the environment and people globally. When a brand or manufacturer is Bluesign certified, you can trust products from the outset to the final production have met stringent standards throughout the entire process and supply chain. A Bluesign product signifies a brand's commitment to environment improvement and global sustainability.

WRAP Certification:

WRAP (Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production) is the largest global independent certification program focusing on the apparel, footwear and sewn products sectors. A WRAP certification demonstrates brands and consumers around the world that a facility meets internationally recognised social compliance and standards. The WRAP certification encompasses 12 principles and manufacturers with a WRAP Certification are committed to ensuring their products are being produced under safe, ethical, humane and legal conditions.

Esperance & Co are constantly looking for new ways to improve our sustainability practices, so you can feel good about the cashmere you’re wearing, and it will feel good on you.
